Cruising has become more popular than ever, with millions more people taking a cruise in 2023 than in 2019. Since 2020 the industry has bounced back in the biggest way, and is one of the fastest growing sectors; with continued growth expected over the next several years and beyond. We have seen the evidence of this as cruise lines begin to order more ships, moving fast to meet the growing demands of the public.

Royal Caribbean Group owns some of the most popular brands in the industry- Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises. Each of these brands have new ships will enter service over the next 2.5 years, from the largest ships in the industry, to small, luxury cruise vessels. Here are all the ships Royal Caribbean Group has ordered for 2024, 2025, and 2026.

2024: UTOPIA OF THE SEA

Set to enter service this month, Utopia of the Seas will be the 6th Oasis Class ship in the Royal fleet. This beautiful ship will begin her career sailing out of Port Canaveral, and taking guests on long weekend cruises to the Caribbean.

2025: STAR OF THE SEAS

Following the huge success of Icon of the Seas after, Royal has several more Icon Class ships on the way. The second in the lineup is Star of the Seas, set to enter service in August of 2025, out of Port Canaveral, Florida. She will be another giant of the seas, weighing in at over 250,000 gross registered tons, continuing the tradition of the Icon Class ships being the largest in the world.

2026: UNNAMED ICON CLASS SHIP

A 3rd, yet to be named Icon Class ship is set to enter service in the spring of 2026. While there are not many details about this ship as of yet, we do know that she will be weighing it at 250,800 gross registered tons, and construction began in January of this year.

2025: CELEBRITY XCEL

Celebrity's wildly popular Edge Series will be gaining a new ship in November of 2025. She will be the 5th in the lineup, and weigh in at 141,400 gross registered tons. The Edge Series has been known for the beautiful architectural elements, elegant design, and elevated dining, and we expect the same will be true of Celebrity Xcel. Celebrity has said that Xcel will offer the greatest hits from all the Edge Series ships before it, and she will begin her career sailing to the Caribbean.

Silversea Cruises introduced their second Nova Class ship- Silver Ray into the fleet in June. This luxury ship boasts the same incredible designs and elevated venues that we saw on Silver Nova back in 2023.
