Just a year ago, Royal Caribbean introduced the world to Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise ship ever built! Millions of people across the globe held their breath as this iconic vessel sailed into the Port of Miami, ready to take guests on an incredible journey of thrills, chills, and wows. From bow to stern, every inch of this fantastic ship was created to give passengers the most memorable vacation at sea.
A huge part of the Icon experience is the non-stop chills. Onboard, guests can relax across several sundeck spaces, and enjoy endless dips in 7 pools, including the largest pool ever built on a cruise ship.
WATER'S EDGE POOL | Deck 7 | Located in the Surfside Family Neighborhood, at the very aft of the ship, this relaxing wading pool is a wonderful option for families to relax in. Parents can dip their toes while the kids enjoy the shallows or the splash pad just behind.
ROYAL BAY POOL | Deck 15 | With over 40,000 gallons of water, the Royal Bay Pool is the largest pool ever built on a cruise ship. This relaxing space is positioned on Deck 15, overlooking the tranquil Central Park Neighborhood, with a glass wall for even better views. There are wading areas, a deeper pool in the middle, in-water loungers, and hot tubs on either side.
THE COVE POOL | Deck 15 | Across from the Royal Bay Pool, and overlooking the ship's edge is the Cove Pool. Here you will find steps from a shallow wading area, descending into deeper waters, and a beautiful glass wall for unobstructed views of the ocean. There are in-pool loungers, and you are only a few steps away from the Lime & Coconut Bar, and El Loco Fresh- the perfect stop for a refreshing pool-side snack.
THE HIDEAWAY POOL | Deck 15 | Located in the brand-new adults only area of the ship, the Hideaway Pool is the first ever suspended infinity pool at sea! Here guests can enjoy incredible views out the aft of the ship as they float high above the Surfside Family Neighborhood below. There are daybeds available for rent in the middle of the pool, and loungers all throughout the space. The Hideaway offers a bar, so you can sip your favorite tropical cocktails poolside as you enjoy the sunset views from the top of the ship.
SWIM & TONIC POOL | Deck 16 | Royal Caribbean's first swim-up bar on a ship was a wild success when they introduced the Swim & Tonic Pool on Icon. There are loungers in the sun all throughout, including some in the shallow sections of the pool, and countertop spaces all along the edge where you can swim up and enjoy a gin-based cocktail created by the talented bar tenders at the swim-up bar.
CLOUD 17 POOL | Deck 17 | Another dedicated adult-only space, the Cloud 17 Pool is all about relaxation. The infinity edge-style gives the feeling that the pool and ocean are one, as you float in the water, enjoying the incredible views. There are loungers throughout the sundeck space, and there is another Lime & Coconut bar located here for convenience.
THE SUITE NEIGHBORHOOD POOL | Deck 18 | Located at the very top of the ship, the Grove Sundeck is an exclusive space for Star and Sky Class guests. This expansive sundeck space offers plenty of loungers and daybeds, a bar, casual restaurant, and a relaxing pool- the perfect place for a dip away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the ship.
