Dining is one of the most important aspects of a cruise, and Royal Caribbean does it better than anyone. Not only is their complimentary dining delicious, but their specialty dining is some of the best in the mass-market cruise industry. Royal's upcoming Oasis Class ship- Utopia of the Seas- will be offering a wide array of incredible specialty restaurants, from farm fresh inspired fare, to takeout sushi, to a fully immersive dining experience- Royal Railroad - Utopia Station.
Utopia is set to make her debut on July 19th out of Port Canaveral, offering short sailing through the Caribbean for the biggest weekend ever! Here are all the specialty dining restaurants guests can expect to find onboard this brand new ship:
150 CENTRAL PARK | Located in the beautiful Central Park Neighborhood, 150 Central Park has a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are harvested at the peak of their season for the ultimate freshness and flavor. Menu highlights include: crispy Berkshire pork belly served with a port reduction over a parsnip puree, braised short rib with a creamy polenta and crispy onions, halibut with a saffron and truffle hollandaise, and the fried cheesecake for dessert is a best-seller.
CHOPS GRILL | Chops Grill is a classic steakhouse, and Royal Caribbean fan favorite. This venue is found on all Royal Caribbean ships, offering strip steak, ribeye, filets, and rack of lamb. There are an array of different shareable sides to choose from including mac and cheese, gruyere tater tots, and a variated of roasted vegetables. This is a fan favorite for good reason, with an expansive prix-fixe menu that will delight everyone at the table.
GIOVANNI'S ITALIAN KITCHEN | Step into a tuscan paradise at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen. Here you can enjoy hand crafted pizzas and flatbreads, delicious pastas that include the fan-favorite lasagna, and the always popular meat and cheese platter to share.
HOOKED SEAFOOD | Reminiscent of an East Coast chowder house, Hooked seafood is located in the very front of the ship above the Solarium on Oasis Class ships. Here you can enjoy fresh and delicious seafood with friends. Begin your meal with a tray of oysters from the wet bar, paired with delicious lemon juice and condiments. For your main course enjoy whole main lobster, or the captain recommended Royal Seafood Platter that includes: battered deep-fried cod, crab, prawns, mussels, and scallops served with delectable cajun fries. And don't forget to order the coconut cream pie as a finisher.
IZUMI HIBACHI & SUSHI | Another Royal fan favorite, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi offers a delicious Japanese menu. Inside you will find traditional seating, as well as seating around the teppanyaki tables for those who have reserved the teppanyaki experience (this tends to sell out quickly as it is very popular). Enjoy delicious rolls including the seared tuna tataki roll, crispy tuna roll, and other classics. For dessert the mochi trio is the way to go with flavors of mango, strawberry, and chocolate.
IZUMI IN THE PARK | It first debuted on Icon, and is being brought back for Utopia of the Seas- Izumi in the Park is a takeout window attached to the sit-down Izumi restaurant that has a new location in the park. Here guests can enjoy sushi and bubble cone ice cream, grab-and-go style, as late as 10pm! This is a great option for those who wish to enjoy their favorite Izumi rolls daily without having to make a reservation.
JOHNNY ROCKETS | Offering a fun, all-American, retro atmosphere, Johnny Rockets serves up shakes, burgers, and fries that will throw you back to another era. This spot is the perfect restaurant for the whole family, with all the favorites including the Original Burger, Crispy Chicken Club Sandwich, and the favorite Cookies and Cream Milkshake.
THE MASON JAR | The Mason Jar is southern food at it's finest. Enjoy delicious low county classic, bayou staples, and some incredible bbq options. Menu highlights include crab beignets, golden fried Po'Boy, beef brisket, and johnny cakes. For dessert try the croissant bread pudding topped with a creamy vanilla drizzle. The Mason Jar is the pinnacle of comfort food onboard, and reservations are highly recommended due to the popularity of the restaurant.
PLAYMAKERS SPORTS BAR | Playmakers is a quintessential sports bar, and one of the most popular Royal Caribbean venues. Enjoy a burger and beer while watching the big game or playing in the arcade. Menu highlights include: Pile of Nachos, Pigskin Sliders, Truffle Burger, Wings, and delicious comforting desserts such as an ice cream sundae or warm chocolate chip cookie baked with marshmallow and Nutella.
ROYAL RAILROAD - UTOPIA STATION | This immersive dining experience will be debuting on Utopia of the Seas. Guests will take an epicurean train ride across different parts of the world, from the wild west, to the Silk Road in Asia, dining on delicious cuisine all throughout the journey. The experience will begin on the train platform with pre-dinner drinks, and then into the dining car where guests will feel as though they are truly on a train in China or America thanks to the fully immersive experience that includes LED screens in the windows that show the world passing by.
