Icon of the Seas is a magnificent vessel, and the first of Royal Caribbean's Icon Class. She weighs in at 248,663 gross registered tons, holds 7600 passengers and 2350 crew members, and sits at 1196.7 feet in length. She is a sight to behold and has captured the imagination of the whole world as she sailed into her home port in Miami, and is now taking passengers on 7 night cruises around the Caribbean.
When you first catch a glimpse of this incredible ship, you see the glistening AquaDome at the crown, shining in the sunlight- a whole new neighborhood space created specifically for the Icon Class ships. In the aft the brand new Surfside Family Neighborhood is bustling with families enjoying Splashaway Bay. 10 Decks above is the first ever suspended infinity pool on a cruise ship, and above that looms the impressive Category 6- the largest water park at sea! No matter where your eye lands, Icon is a beautiful ship filled with incredible venues and entertainment- a true city on the water.
With 18 public decks, there is a lot to do and enjoy on Icon. Here is a closer look at each deck and all her venues:
Deck Two
GANGWAY | This area is utilized during embarkation and disembarkation. There are forward and aft ganways by the elevator banks, as well as a mid-ship gangway with escalators leading up to the promenade.
Deck Three
THE MUSIC HALL | The music hall is the place to be in the evenings! This is where guests can enjoy the incredibly talented rock bands onboard. Grab a drink from the bar, hang out with your friends, and sing and dance along to your favorite songs!
MAIN DINING ROOM | The Main Dining Room on Icon is 3 decks high, with a gorgeous central chandelier right in the middle. This is the complimentary sit-down dining where you can enjoy several courses of delicious food at the table assigned to you on your room keycard.
Deck Four
ROYAL THEATER | The main level of the Royal Theater can be found on Deck 4, and this is where you can enjoy the incredible Wizard of Oz production on Icon, as well as other performances and events throughout the cruise.
MUSIC HALL | The upper level of the Music Hall offers more seating, as well as a bar.
CASINO ROYALE | If you are down for a little risk, stop by the casino. There are many incredible options from slot machines, to poker, roulette, and more! There are smoking and non-smoking sections, and on Icon they have modernized the air circulation to make sure that fresh air is always flowing through the space for the comfortability of every customer. Remember to always gamble responsibly, and don't wait to grab a crew member for assistance should you need it.
MAIN DINING ROOM | Here you will find the 2nd level of the main dining room. There are entrances on each level, and you will have an assigned entrance based off of your table number.
Deck Five
FITNESS CENTER | Located at the very forward of the ship, the fitness center on Icon is better than any gym back home. You can easily continue your workout routine with the range of different equipment and fitness classes Icon has to offer.
Note: The entrance to the Fitness Center is located on Deck 6.
ROYAL THEATER | This is the upper level of the theater, where you will find additional seating.
ROYAL PROMENADE
SORRENTO'S | A Royal Caribbean fan favorite- Sorrento's is a complimentary eatery where guests can grab a delicious slice of pizza. It's also open late, making it the perfect stop for a late night snack.
SPOTLIGHT KARAOKE | Grab your close friends and family and head to Spotlight for a bit of fun in the evening belting out your favorite tunes.
STARBUCKS | A full Starbucks is onboard Icon, so you can enjoy your favorite drink every day of the cruise!
RETAIL | Shop luxury items and Royal Caribbean logowear at the various stores found throughout the Promenade.
1400 LOBBY BAR | Relax with drink in hand in this beautiful vintage-inspired bar at the heart of the promenade. Enjoy a delicious cocktail with your friends as you watch the sunset from the windows (the first time a Royal Promenade has had any natural light!).
THE PEARL | This magnificent stairway/lounge/art piece sits in the very center of the Royal Promenade, and is the first thing to greet guests as they come up the gangway. The pearl is an architectural masterpiece, and a modernized version of the grand main stairway you find on most cruise ships, except this one changes colors, the ceiling moves, and there is seating on either side of the stairway for guests to relax with coffee in the mornings.
POINT & FEATHER | This is the pub onboard, and the perfect place to grab a pint with friends and try your hand at a round of darts.
NEXT CRUISE | The Next Cruise desk is where you can book a future cruise. Here you can get a discount if you book your next Royal Caribbean cruise while onboard. You can also get vouchers that you can bring home, and your Harr Travel advisor can help you put it toward a future cruise.
GUEST SERVICES | The well trailed staff at the guest services desk can help you with any issues small or big throughout your time onboard. This is also where you will find the internet desk as well.
MAIN DINING ROOM | This is the 3rd level of the main dining room. Once again, the entrance you go to is depended on your table number, which can be found on your key card.
ABSOLUTE ZERO | Located at the aft of the ship, and accessible from Deck 6, Absolute Zero is the onboard ice rink! On Icon they have made the rink circular with seating all around it, so everyone gets the best seats in the house for the incredible ice shows. During the day you can also rent skate and have a bit of fun on the ice.
Deck Six
ROYAL PROMENADE
ESCAPE ROOM | Join your friends for a little puzzle as you try and crack the codes and make it out in this interactive game.
CROWN LOUNGE | This lounge is exclusive for Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club Crown & Anchor Society members. Here you can enjoy complimentary light bites throughout the day, and their is a dedicated concierge desk for your convenience.
THE ATTIC | Have a drink and a laugh at this comedy club, where performers and entertainers take the stage to share a few jokes and get the crowds roaring.
DUELING PIANOS | This dimly lit piano bar is a wonderful stop for some post dinner drinks with friends. Sip a cocktail, grab a seat, and enjoy the talented piano players perform.
THE PEARL CAFE | Located at the top of The Pearl staircase, this is a brand new venue that has debuted on Icon. The Pearl Cafe is a complimentary dining spot with quick grab-and-go options throughout the day. Here you will find ready-made sandwiches, salads, yogurt parfaits, sweet treats, and of course coffee that you can enjoy in the beautiful lounge space under the floor-to-ceiling windows.
GIOVANNI'S ITALIAN KITCHEN & WINE BAR | Craving some delicious pizza and pastas? Look no further than Giovanni's. This Italian restaurant is a popular specialty option onboard, and you can enjoy a delicious slice of brick oven pizza along with a glass of delicious Italian wine.
BOLEROS | Enjoy a little latin music and a good salsa?...Boleros is the place for you. This latin club will get you on the dance floor with its incredible musicians and delicious cocktails from the bar. Grab your partner and swing your hips all night.
SCHOONER BAR | A Royal Caribbean fan favorite, the Schooner Bar is a gathering spot for those who want to relax, socialize, and be entertained. Performers take to the piano and draw in the crowds at this fun, interactive, and relaxing bar.
PLAYMAKERS SPORTS BAR & ARCADE | Playmakers is a fun spot to grab a beer with friends, enjoy some delicious bar food, and catch the big game. The venue offers pool tables and some fun arcade games as well.
ADVENTURE OCEAN | This is the kids club onboard. Drop the kiddos off, and they will have a great day playing games, watching movies, making crafts, and socializing with their friends. Adventure Ocean is located conveniently underneath the Surfside Family Neighborhood, just steps away from the ultimate family fun zone onboard!
SOCIAL 20 | This is the teen hangout. 13-17 year olds have this exclusive space to themselves. They can rock out to music, watch movies, and enjoy a bit of social time in the lounge spaces, playing foosball, or getting competitive with video games.

SURFSIDE FAMILY NEIGHBORHOOD
ARCADE | The onboard arcade is perfectly place in the Surfside Family Neighborhood. There are plenty of fun game options to choose from, and you are just steps away from the splash pad, ice cream, and the carousel.
SUGAR BEACH | Boasting 200+ types of candy, decadent fudge, and delicious cupcakes, this specialty sweet shop is a must-stop while in the Surfside Family Neighborhood.
SURFSIDE EATERY | This complimentary spot serves a buffet style breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
SURFSIDE BITES | Grab a few quick bites at Surfside Bites. From delicious churros, to hot dogs, and fries, you can't go wrong with these satisfying snacks. And you can't leave without trying the popcorn chicken at least one time! (the fries here are even better than in Windjammer...trust us!)
PLAYSCAPE | This is a fun playground for the kiddos to enjoy.
PIER 7 | A new specialty dining venue- Pier 7 is a delicious brunch spot featuring tacos, pancakes, and more!
THE LEMON POST | This fun bar isn't just for the parents...there is a full cocktail menu, and a separate mocktail menu so the whole family can enjoy a drink in the sun!
SPLASHAWAY BAY | Splashaway Bay is the incredible splash pad where kids and parents can have fun on the slides, in the water, and under the huge dump bucket that slowly fills up and then tips over, soaking everyone standing beneath.
WATER'S EDGE POOL | Located right on the back of the ship, overlooking the wake, this wading pool offers incredible views, relaxing loungers, and a place to cool off on a hot Caribbean day.

CENTRAL PARK
EMPIRE SUPPER CLUB | This gorgeous new venue is the cream of the crop when it comes to specialty dining onboard Icon. Dress formal and enjoy a delightful evening with an 8 course dinner and live jazz musicians. We highly recommend reserving a space well in advance, as they only do 2 sittings each night.
IZUMI HIBACHI & SUSHI | Izumi has been a fan favorite for many years, and has been on Royal ships from Quantum to Wonder. On Icon, Izumi has been moved to central park. Here folks can enjoy sitting down for a delicious sushi dinner, or a show at the hibachi tables- one of the most popular dining experiences on a Royal ship.
IZUMI IN THE PARK | Icon has also debuted "Izumi in the Park", the new take-out window concept connected to the sit-down restaurant. Now you can walk through the park and grab your favorite sushi roll or bubble cone ice cream to-go as late as 10pm!
CHOPS GRILL | This is the classic steakhouse option onboard, and a Royal fan favorite. The location on the park is perfection, and on Icon you can hand-select your cuts of beef from the butcher's counter if you desire! Alongside the juicy steaks and chops are an array of delicious sides and exquisite desserts to choose from.
TRELLIS BAR | This is an outdoor bar where you can enjoy a drink with friends under the stars in the evening while the live musicians perform on the street.
PARK CAFE | Another central park favorite, the Park Cafe is a complimentary food option, and a great alternative to the bustling Windjammer- especially on busy boarding day. Here you can enjoy made-to-order fresh salads, quick bites, paninis and sandwiches.
BUBBLES | Reminiscent of a Parisian patisserie storefront, Bubble is the new champagne bar. Here you can order a chilled flute of bubbly to celebrate your evening, or start your morning with a delicious bellini or mimosa.
LOU'S JAZZ & BLUES | You won't be able to resist the soulful sounds coming from this jazz lounge as you stroll through the park. Lou's is another new Icon venue, and is the perfect place to grab a cocktail and listen to the blues with friends old and new.
RETAIL | You can pop into stores and enjoy a bit of jewelry shopping, buy a new watch, and come home with a luxurious souvenir from your time onboard.
Deck Twelve
VITALITY SPA | For the ultimate relaxation, book yourself a spa treatment while on Icon. The spa is a beautiful space, and there are many treatment options available for guests to enjoy. We always recommend reserving ahead of time in the weeks and days leading up to your cruise.
Deck Fourteen
THE OVERLOOK | This is the observation lounge onboard. Located in the incredible AquaDome neighborhood, the Overlook is on another level, as the whole dome is a window, giving guests 270 degree unobstructed views. There are many loungers and comfortable chair and daybed options to choose from, and the Overlook Bar is the place to stop for a delicious cocktail before the Aqua Shows begin.
VITALITY SPA | The upper level of the spa is located on Deck 14.
VITALITY CAFE | Craving a healthy smoothie or wellness juice after a workout, or during your time in the spa? The Vitality Cafe is the place to grab a fresh and healthy bite every day.
Deck Fifteen
AQUADOME
One of the newest neighborhood's making its debut on Icon of the Seas is the AquaDome. The AquaTheater was a huge hit on the Oasis ships, and on Icon, Royal took it from the aft to the crown of the ship, enclosed it, and made it bigger and better than ever before!
AQUATHEATER | Inside, the theater is located in the very center, with the seating in a circle around it, so every one of the guests has an amazing view of the show. A waterfall feature cascades from the ceiling and acrobats and athletes perform incredible feats within the waterfall- an all new and brilliantly choreographed experience! Guests can enjoy watching divers leap from the high dives, synchronized swimmers dance through the water, and have their breath taken away at the incredible light shows, skateboard feats, and even robots that create the stages right before their very eyes!
RYE & BEAN | This beautiful bar transitions perfectly from day to night. Here you can enjoy a cocktail in the evening or a delicious latte during the day.
HOOKED SEAFOOD | Another Royal Caribbean favorite, Hooked is the New England style seafood spot onboard. Enjoy lobster, crab cakes, or oysters at the raw bar at this delicious specialty dining venue.
CELEBRATION TABLE | This is a new VIP style concept that has been introduced on Icon, where you can reserve a space for you and 13 of your closest friends for an evening. You will enjoy your own personal lounge before moving on to the dinner table where delicious cuisine (your choice of Asian, Italian, or American) is served family style by the large windows with sweeping ocean views. AQUADOME MARKET | Royal is introducing the first ever food hall in the fleet with the all-new AquaDome Market. Five separate food stands will serve up delicious and varied menu options, and all complimentary! Here you can enjoy Mediterranean dishes, mac and cheese, salads, Asian cuisine, and a delicious crepe station.
CHILL ISLAND
TABLE TENNIS | Grab a paddle and challenge a friend to a round of table tennis!
THE LIME & COCONUT BAR | There are several Lime & Coconut bar's throughout Chill Island, so you won't need to go far to find a friendly bartender and a delicious drink!
SPRINKLES | It wouldn't be a Royal Caribbean cruise without soft serve, now would it? Always a favorite of Danny's and of the Royal Caribbean guests, Sprinkles is back on Icon serving up the best quick snack to enjoy by the pools.
ROYAL BAY POOL | This is the largest pool on the ship, and there are plenty of loungers around to relax and enjoy some fun in the sun!
EL LOCO FRESH | Complimentary tacos, quesadillas, and burritos are the perfect savory treat on the pool deck. There is a toppings bar as well with guacamole, pico de gallo, salsa, and sour cream options.
CANTINA FRESCA | Grab a delicious Mexican themed cocktail at Cantina Fresca, the bar next door to El Loco Fresh.
WINDJAMMER MARKETPLACE | The main buffet is HUGE on Icon, and has two sides with hundreds of tables and seating for various party sizes. Enjoy made-to-order pasta stations, Indian food, bbq, Asian cuisine, fresh fruit, mac and cheese, and many more amazing dishes for dinner and lunch. For breakfast, sausages, eggs, pancakes, waffles, pastries, fruit, made-to-order omelets, breakfast potatoes, and more are available.
THE HIDEAWAY | Located at the very aft of the ship, the Hideaway is the 18+ spot onboard. COASTAL KITCHEN | For suite guests, Coastal Kitchen is the complimentary restaurant on Icon. Star and Sky Class guests have access to this lounge/bar/dining space for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sea Class guests are able to dine for dinner based on availability. On Icon Coastal Kitchen overlooks the AquaDome Theater, so you can watch the amazing shows while you enjoy your delicious meal.
CHILL ISLAND
SWIM & TONIC | Royal's first swim-up bar is on Icon! The Swim & Tonic Bar and Pool are located above Central Park, so guests can enjoy the incredible sunshine, have a drink, and relax in the pool loungers, or at the bar.
LIME & COCONUT | The Lime and Coconut is also on Deck 16, so you don't have to go far on Chill Island to find a delightful tropical drink.
THRILL ISLAND
CROWN'S EDGE | Made with the adventurous spirit in mind, Crown's Edge is part ropes course, part zipline, part pirate plank! Guests strap into a harness attached to a rail above their heads, and make their way across a wobbly bridge and tiny platforms out and around the edge of the ship, so they are suspended 16 decks above the water! You will stop at the very edge of the last plank, and then wait in suspense before it drops out from under you, and you zipline back around and onto the ship. It is not for the faint of heart, and we recommend booking well in advance to ensure you get to participate in this heart-thumping activity!
ADRENALINE PEAK | Harness up and enjoy a bit of rock climbing! Locate near the edge of the ship, your views out to the ocean cannot be beat as you make your way up the wall to ring the bell and complete the course
DESSERTED MILKSHAKE BAR | Funky and wild milkshakes are on the menu at Desserted Milkshake Bar. This is a specialty snack spot where you can buy milkshakes with crazy toppings such as full cookies and brownies!
BASECAMP | This all-new casual complimentary dining space is a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat while experiencing all that Thrill Island has to offer. The menu includes waffle chicken, cheese curds, and soft pretzel bites to name a few.
FLOWRIDER | Out on the very aft starboard of the ship, above The Hideaway is the Flowrider Surf Simulator. Here folks can have fun trying their hand at a little onboard surfing or bodyboarding!
LOST DUNES | Grab a putter and some friends and family and enjoy a round of mini golf as this desert island themed golf course!

COASTAL KITCHEN | This is the upper level of Coastal Kitchen with more seating for incredible Aqua Show views!
CLOUD 17
THE LIME & COCONUT | Once again the Lime & Coconut Bar is found on the Cloud 17 side of Chill Island. There are 4 Lime and Coconut locations in total onboard Icon!
CLOUD 17 POOL | This beautiful pool is located right on the edge of the ship, making it hard to tell where the pool ends and the ocean begins.
SPORTS COURT | Want to play a bit of tennis, or join a team for basketball? The court allows for a variety of sports to be played, and there is plenty of spectator seating as well.
Deck Eighteen, Nineteen
THE GROVE | This is the brand new suite restaurant onboard Icon. This buffet is located in the Suite Sundeck area, and offers delicious Mediterranean inspired bites and dishes. Grab a drink from the Sundeck Bar right across the way, and you are all set!
THE SUITE SUNDECK | The Suite Sundeck spans 2 levels on Icon, boasting a pool, loungers and daybeds, hot tubs, and plenty of space to relax and catch some rays at the very top of the ship.
Deck Twenty
WATERSLIDES | Deck 20 is where the entrance to all the water slides can be found!
FRIGHTENING BOLT | This terrifying drop slide is the tallest at sea, and will have you heart rate spiking as you wait in the capsule for the floor to drop out from under you and shoot you down into the spiraling tunnel of lights and darkness!
PRESSURE DROP | If being dropped straight down an enclosed tunnel on Frightening Bolt wasn't enough for you, try Pressure Drop, the first ever open freefall waterslide at sea!
STORM CHASERS | You and a friend can grab a mat, and race head-to-head in these dueling water slides. The best part is that it doesn't matter if one of you gets a head start, because your speed is calculated at the end, so you will know for sure who won the race once you reach the bottom.
HURRICANE HUNTER | The whole family can enjoy this water slide together, as the raft seats up to 4 people, and you are spun into the dark enclosed tunnel, winding down several stories in this fun raft ride!
STORM SURGE | Icon boasts 2 raft water slides, and Storm Surge is no joke. Grab a friend or 3, and hop in the raft and start twisting and turning your way downward. Halfway through you will shoot out into a bowl suspended off the side of the ship, with a clear bottom, so you can see all the way down to the ocean below before being plummeted back into darkness in this insane water ride!
