Huge news just dropped from Norwegian Cruise Line, as the company announces the introduction of nearly 1000 solo staterooms across their 19 ship fleet. This week NCL will be opening up for bookings the new Solo Inside, Solo Oceanview, and Solo Balcony staterooms, to the delight of solo travelers across the globe!
With solo travel even more popular than ever, Norwegian is slated to take advantage of the trend by offering spacious rooms for single occupancy. The move means converting previous double occupancy rooms to solos, giving travelers even more space to spread out.
In a statement, David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line made the announcement of the new solo categories, “We strive to provide our guests with diverse offerings to create their dream vacation. Since we first launched our solo staterooms in 2010 with Norwegian Epic, they have been quite popular with single travelers. We are continuously listening to our guests to deliver the experience they want. After realizing the growing demand of individuals looking to travel on their own, we have now expanded single occupancy staterooms across our fleet.”
The combination of the larger rooms, and access to the key-card entry Studio Lounge means that solo travelers can now have their dream vacation onboard a Norwegian ship. With the ability to mix and mingle with other solo adventurers, unlimited relaxation and refreshments in the lounge, and space to spread out in their stateroom, guests reserving these new rooms will be given the ultimate vacation experience while travelling on their own.
