The Solarium, a favorite pool venue among Royal Caribbean guests, will now look a bit different as the cruise line makes a big change to its policy. The adults-only pool and hot tub area, featuring ample lounge chairs, a pool bar, and the delicious Solarium Bistro, is changing things up by raising of the age-limit from 16 to 18, making it a truly adults-only space. A respite from the craziness of the pool deck, the Solarium is dedicated to peace and relaxation, where couple's and friends and enjoy a drink and good conversation while taking in the breathtaking ocean views.

At Harr Travel, we believe the policy change will create an even more relaxing space for guests to enjoy. With so many teen and kid focused venues around the ships, it is great to have a space allocated specifically for the adults. The main pool decks and sports areas are great hangouts for teens, and the Solarium now gives parents and the other adults a chance to relax, have a drink with friends, and enjoy an incredible cruise.

While kids will still be able to walk through the Solarium to access the Solarium Bistro, the main difference will be that they can no longer stop and spend time in pool areas or lounging spaces. The policy change comes as a response to guests' feedback, and proves Royal Caribbean's commitment to guest satisfaction, as they are always looking for ways to improve the quality of their cruises for their guests.
