With the release of Icon of the Seas in early 2024 a new era begins - the introduction of Royal's new Icon Class. Now with almost 100 days to go before Icon's first inaugural, Royal Caribbean has just announced the name of the second Icon Class ship: Star of the Seas.
Star of the Seas will be making her debut in summer 2025, and will showcase the fun and bold vacation style that is unique to Icon Class. Star has a lineup of new experiences and favorites, setting the stage for the best family vacation at sea!
Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, spoke about the vision for Star of the Seas - “The idea of combining the best of every type of vacation into one ultimate adventure has created more excitement than ever anticipated, and Star of the Seas will be the next bold answer to the record-breaking consumer demand we’ve seen for nearly a year and counting with Icon of the Seas.”
Star of the Seas will also be Royal Caribbean's 3rd ship powered by LNG, the cleanest burning marine fuel available. With the creation of cleaner energy aboard their ships, this continues the journey that parent company Royal Caribbean Group is on to creating a net-zero cruise ship by 2035!
While we don't have many details yet about Star of the Seas, at Harr Travel, we expect to see many similar offerings and experiences as Icon of the Seas.
