After the highly anticipated release of Icon of the Seas, Royal Caribbean fans are now looking toward the next big event- the debut of Utopia of the Seas. She is the last of the Oasis Class ships, and will be the biggest and best yet! She will be sailing to the Caribbean from Port Canaveral, Florida, with 3 and 4 night itineraries- the perfect weekend of fun!
Utopia will offer many new venues and experiences, and one of the most exciting new additions is the Solarium Suites. These 2 new Star Class suites will offer 280 degree views, and will be high up on the front of the ship, just outside the adults-only Solarium. Each suite is situated on the wings of the bridge, giving suite guests the same incredible views as the captain, and a huge amount of the space to spread out.
The suite will feature a beautiful, large living space, with a sofa, comfortable chairs, and a giant flat-screen tv. The windows wrap completely around with incredible floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean that can best be enjoyed while dining in-suite at the full dining room table.
The focal point of the bedroom is the large king size bed facing the wall of windows, so guests can wake up to the ocean vistas each and every morning. There is a vanity and closet space with plenty of room for luggage, and the master bathroom features a large step in shower, double vanity, and marble detailing throughout.
One of the best parts of staying in this suite is the location. Just steps away from the Solarium and Pool Deck, this is the perfect accommodation for a romantic and relaxing getaway.
Solarium Suite vs Owner's Panoramic Suite
The Solarium Suite is in the same location as the Owner's Panoramic Suites are on Oasis and Allure of the Seas, but with a slightly different layout. The Owner's Panoramic features the bedroom out in front by the corner windows, while the Solarium Suites has the living room in this location, and the bedroom off to the side. The Owner's Panoramic offers a much better layout for more than 2 guests, with the living room in a more private location, while the Solarium is the perfect option for a more romantic getaway.
Allure of the Seas will be heading into drydock in 2025 for extensive renovations. We are curious to see if Royal will change the Owner's Panoramic to a Solarium Suite layout during the ship updates to keep more in-line with the current versions of the Oasis ships.
Star Class
As always in Star Class, the entire ship is open to you. With the help of your Royal Genie and the concierge team, you will get everything you want, when you want, and however you want it. The ship is your oyster, whether that means enjoying the complimentary specialty dining every night in the dining rooms or in-suite, never waiting in lines for an activity, or having special reserved seating at all the shows onboard- you will have everything you desire while sailing in Star Class on Utopia of the Seas. In addition Star Suite guests also have access to the suite-only spaces including the Grove Sundeck, and Coastal Kitchen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
