Royal Caribbean has made waves in the cruise industry over the past few decades with their innovation and modernization of their cruise ships. Just this year they debuted the largest ship in the world, Icon of the Seas, which pushed the boundaries of everything we thought possible with cruising. The Icon and Oasis Class ships are some of the most ground-breaking cruise vessels ever built, featuring unique and innovative designs and venues that you would never expect to see on a cruise ship.

One of the most famous and beloved design features onboard these ships is Central Park. Central Park is an experience like no other. This open-air neighborhood has thousands of live plants planted throughout, and offers several dining, bar, and retail venues. The goal is to make you feel as though you are strolling through your favorite city park, and can stop for a bit of shopping or a bite to eat along the way, while enjoying the fresh air and sounds of nature. The sound system hidden throughout the space plays the sounds of birds singing and bugs chirping, and frequently you will find a live musician playing in the middle of the park, contributing to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the space. An onboard horticulturalist is in charge of taking care of all the plants throughout the space. You will find topiaries, unique flowers, and even full-size trees in Central Park.

The Park Cafe is a complimentary dining venue where guests can enjoy quick bites such as soups, sandwiches, and salads throughout the day. There is outdoor seating in the park so you can enjoy the fresh sea air as you eat your lunch. In addition to the Park Cafe there are several specialty restaurants that vary ship-to-ship and include Chops Grill, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, Izumi in the Park, 150 Central Park, Giovanni's Table, and Jamie's Italian Kitchen.

Beyond dining, there are several bar and lounge options, and across the fleet those venues include Lou's Jazz & Blues, Trellis Bar, Rising Tide Bar, Dazzles, Vintages, and Bubbles Champagne Bar. There are also luxury retail options found in Central Park, the perfect place to buy a duty-free souvenir to commemorate a special celebration, or simply remember your time onboard.
